Room 407, Friday Afternoon

After the list of chores that comes from the morning after Arthur's broadcast and then class, Merlin was just settling in to have a spot of private time to read his book. Anything about drinking blood and red eyes would be good to find out more on.

No such luck so far. But he wasn't giving up hope!

"So I'm told," Arthur said, glibly. He should probably still go out and meet her one of these days. "Well. It's been... illuminating," he continued, "But if your roommate isn't showing up any time soon, I've got more important things to do."

Like sit in his room and brood.

Merlin looked around quickly. "Did you want to try for a ride around the island?"

Arthur paused. He'd been halfway to getting up.

"Sometimes," he said, "You manage to shock me by coming up with a decent idea."

"I'm full of surprises, my lord," Merlin replied dryly. "The exercise would do the horses some good."

He nodded, flashing Merlin all of the edges of a grateful smile, as he couldn't rightly give him more than just the edges there. "Then why are you still lazing about?" Arthur said, "Hurry on up."

Merlin flashed him one quick grin before hurrying on after him. "Coming, my lord."
