With Francine and Katchoo visiting, that meant that... showing Francine puppies. Because they were the girliest girls to ever girl when allowed to hang out.

"Arthur claims Brynn's no good at hunting, so he's using her to breed larger hounds," Merlin informed her sagely. While holding a wriggling puppy in his arms.

Big, badass wizard. Oh yeah. Live in fear.

Merlin grinned and nodded. "He won't admit it because they kicked him out."

"I bet that's a state secret." Francine picked up the puppy currently wriggling on her lap and peered into its face. "Shhhh. Tell no one!"

"Rff!" That was... probably not a yes.

"Not it would be a secret if they didn't allow the king in there."

"If they didn't allow the king in there, you'd end up doing all the cooking, because he'd execute the whole kitchen staff," Francine said, which... started out funny in her head, but didn't quite end up that way out loud.

Tiny bit, yes. Merlin cleared his throat and gave one of the puppies a scratch behind the ear. "Have you been back to Fandom recently?"

"There's usually a New Year's party - we should all go back for that." Francine leaned back against the wall. "I'd say Christmas, but most people are--- oh!"

"You guys should come visit us for Christmas!"
