Arthur's Chambers - Camelot, Saturday Morning

With the girls leaving today, a proper goodbye was necessary. In Arthur's chambers.

...look, it was the best place to get a bit of privacy. Nothing wrong with that. Plus, Merlin might get a chance to attempt one of those portal things indoors! You never knew when that would be helpful!

"We can visit you both after school starts," he said with far too much enthusiasm.

Arthur pursed his lips. "...Flowers," he prompted. "You lot like those, right?"

"Katchoo could paint them!" Sadly, she wasn't still under the influence of last night's cider. She was just Francine.

"Who's volunteering me for stuff?" Katchoo piped up, not remotely as cranky about it as she was pretending to be. And maybe it was a good sign that she made this next joke, namely: "Just no lilies. I'm not painting those."

"I don't know if we have lilies here..." Sooo not the point, Merlin.

"You don't have to bring us flowers from the past, really," Francine said, not missing the point at all, for once. "Just you."

"And no drunk flirtatious knights," Katchoo couldn't resist chipping in. "Since Arthur won't let me break 'em anyway."

Well, fair enough. Letting Arthur buy the flowers would probably just wind up in disaster anyway.

"No drunk flirtatious knights," he agreed, grinning a bit. "But when we do visit, we'll ensure it's pleasant enough."

...Arthur was going a bit red.
